Shathil is a political analyst and researcher in comparative law. He specialises in the management of Iraq’s cultural heritage and acts as an advisor on strategic issues in the Middle East. He founded the NGO Erth Iraq and writes regularly for French literary magazines such as Le Comptoir and Philitt. He recently completed an MA in International Conflict Studies at King’s College London, with a dissertation on epistemic violence related to the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
